At Lawrit, we publish original articles, case comments, legislative reviews, and essays that explore contemporary and emerging issues across diverse fields of law.
Our goal is to promote high-quality legal writing that is both academically rigorous and practically impactful.
Lawrit provided a foundation for me to explore legal scholarship beyond the classroom. I had the space to write, edit, collaborate, and challenge ideas. Those experiences sharpened not just my academic writing, but also my confidence as a legal thinker.
It taught me how to build something from the ground up and be intentional about impact. That foundation has shaped many of the decisions I’ve made since, including launching my initiatives that look at underexplored areas of law and development in Africa.
I’m honoured to have participated in this brilliant series.
Thanks to Lawrit Journal of Law for its efforts in promoting competence amongst budding lawyers and for the oppurtunity to share my experience and insight.
What I enjoyed most was learning how to conduct effective legal research using reliable databases. It made the research process less intimidating and more methodical.

At Lawrit Journal of Law, these are not just words, they are principles that define our journey.
When we began, it was not merely to start a journal. It was to carve out a space where law students and young legal minds could learn, express, and grow with clarity. We were driven by the understanding that legal writing is more than academic; it is transformative.
Too often, we chase ideas without anchoring them in purpose. But here, we write and publish with intention. We build with presence. Every article, project, and initiative under Lawrit — including the new Impact Lab and Ink Cell — is an answer to a need, not just a trend.
So we continue with the drive to impact.
